A 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder unit is also available. The latter will generate about 250 horsepower and a torque of 275 lb-ft. This powertrain comes automatically with the standard all-wheel drive. But the real star is undoubtedly the innovative 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, available in two variants: one a pure hybrid and the second, a plug-in hybrid.

This version will be available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. For the second hybrid plug-in variant, the thermal block is the same. However, the electric unit varies, proposing an output of about 209 hp. This second version will be able to recharge fully in 10-11 hours on a standard outlet, and in only 3.5 h on a level 2 outlet. While not available with all-wheel drive, the 2020 Escape Hybrid in its plug-in form will be able to travel, according to Ford, a maximum range of 48 kilometres in full electric mode. You will hence be able to avoid using a single drop of fuel during your daily travels between the North Shore and the West Island.
