Why a maintenance schedule?
The Ford maintenance schedule is set by the manufacturer for each vehicle model, so you know when or at what mileage it is recommended to have a particular item checked or to plan for the replacement of a part. So, at each mileage level (for example, 12 months/20,000 km), you'll find the step(s) required for your vehicle in your owner's manual. These plans have different levels of coverage to choose from, to better adapt to your situation; ask your dealer for more details.
The Ford Maintenance Protection Plan (FMPP) is tailored to your needs and includes oil changes, tire rotation, periodic inspections, spark plug replacement, brake inspection (discs and pads), etc. Basically, the FMPP covers all scheduled maintenance services, up to the maximum number of visits for which you opted when you signed your contract. In addition, up to 8 wear items can be covered, if necessary. You will be able to choose between a maintenance plan ranging from 2 years/40,000 km to 8 years/200,000 km.
